Checklist of what to bring to workshop:
- Laptop
- Power cord and power strip
- Hotspot connection for backup internet if you have one
- Pre-written 300-500 word article in a word doc in a folder on your computer
- Professional photo of you in a jpeg or png file
- Any photos and links to videos, media or other items you want to display on your profile
- Logo
- Keywords
- Bio
- Resume that includes: List of Publications written and written for, List of Awards/Honors, Volunteer Work Skills, Experience, Associations, Certifications, Education
- LinkedIn Background Photo 1400 z 425 pixels in a jpeg or png (Please watch video above)
***Tip: Please create a folder on your computer and put all items in there so it will be easy to find the day of the workshop***

What do I need to write about for the pre-written email?The pre-written article should focus on a topic that showcases your expertise or field of work. What do you want to be known for on LinkedIn? What keywords or keyword phrases do you want to be found for? Here’s a formula I use that works: When writing an article use one keyword in the title, and 3 keywords in the body of an article 2 to 3 times each.

What about the content for my profile?
We will review current content students have on their profiles, answering questions and modifying/updating/rearranging as we go thru the profile segment of the workshop.

Can you give me more information about the header image?
In order to be consistent with your brand, the header photo used to customize the header should be the same similar to those on your websites and other social media channels. You may use a collage of your work, your company logo or a single image. If it has not been customized with your name we will show you how to do that during the class.
